Morning View - Sandy Ritchie, age 79, of Morning View, KY passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021. She was born the daughter of the late Charles and Pauline Duvall Hurd on December 26, 1941. Sandy worked as a personal assistant for The R.C. Durr Company and was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Sandy will be remembered as a quiet soul but could also be very social. She enjoyed UK basketball and working outside in her yard. Sandy's greatest joy was spending quality time with her family. Sandy is survived by her children, Michelle Ritchie, Christy (Jeff) Everman, and David (Kathy) Ritchie; grandchildren, Liam, Julia, Jonas, and George; sisters, Pamela Johnson and Linda Finnell; niece, Lee Ann (Matthew) Tucker; nephew, Tony Johnson; and many friends.Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 8:00AM until time of service at 10:00AM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations can be made in Sandy's name to Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051.
